Load and Safe files

Normally you will be loading and saving files from your local machine (PC) to the Server from the file menu of DXedit. But you can install HTML, PHP and SQL services on your local machine, when you like to use DXedit stand alone. A good and easy to use packet is Xampp (Apache friends) that can run on Windows as well as on Linux and other platforms.

The native format for DXedit is DeltaXML and a full project can be saved into a XML file. XML is like HTML a standard text format and can be viewed using a text editor or your browser.
A project can also be saved from the server using PHPmyAdmin, both in XML format as wel as SQL format.

The standard DELTA format is also supported by DXedit, which means that you can load and save a data set from or to the three standard Delta files (specs, chars & items). If you use multi languages within a project, you can save the project for each language into Delta files. Extra DXedit functionality like Alternative terms/states are not supported by Delta and will not be included into Delta files.
