Security and other settings

There are two levels of securety:

• Use of a password
• Use of IP Address restrictions

You can use one, both or none of the security options.

To set the securety options, go to the Edit menu and press on Project Settings. There you will find a field to enter the Project password or to enter a list of allowed IP addresses. The IP address of the Project creator is also registered and will be considered the Project owner. You can delete a Project from the Project Owner's IP address only.

IP addresses can only be used when these addresses will stay the same for each user when he/she is connecting the internet, which is not always the case when dial up lines are used.

Some other settings can be edited here, like the Project description, owner name, default language and some styling settings for Natural Language Output (general taxon name and author text styling).
